MIDNIGHT STORM
Where it began...
Midnight Storm began when I started looking for something I could incorporate into my evening routine. My hands and feet can become incredibly uncomfortable, especially at the end of a long day, and during my research one ingredient kept coming up over and over again: magnesium.
The more I learned about magnesium, the more curious I became. And, like most things I create, one ingredient quickly led me to another. Lavender was an obvious fit for the evening feeling I wanted, but I didn't want Midnight Storm to simply be another lavender lotion. I wanted the formula itself to feel thoughtful and complete, so meadowfoam, squalane, panthenol, colloidal oatmeal and other carefully chosen ingredients came together around that original idea.
As the line began to take shape, I could see Midnight Storm in my head: the Pacific Northwest coast at night, a storm rolling in over dark water, rain hitting the rocks, evergreens silhouetted against the sky and lightning somewhere in the distance. Powerful and dramatic outside, but inside you're warm, comfortable and finally slowing down.
That's what Midnight Storm became for me. It's the line I reach for when the day is over and I want to turn everything down a little—the lights, the noise, the pace of the day—and settle into the night.
The Line
Midnight Storm was created around the idea of an evening body-care ritual. The Magnesium & Lavender Botanical Body Lotion combines magnesium with lavender and thoughtfully selected botanical ingredients in a rich, comforting lotion designed for all-over use at the end of the day.
The Botanical Shake Oil gives Midnight Storm a second layer of body care, bringing together magnesium and botanical oils in a formula that's shaken before use and can be massaged directly into the skin. Used alone or alongside the lotion, it turns ordinary moisturizing into something that feels a little more like an evening ritual.
